Who we are

Home-Start Portsmouth is a voluntary organisation dedicated to promoting the welfare of families with children under the age of 5 in the city. 

We offer emotional and practical support through trained home visiting volunteers, stay & play groups and expert guidance, helping families navigate their most challenging times. The early years make a significant impact and we’re here to help make those years count to ensure no child’s future is limited.

Our Vision

For all parents to feel supported in the critical role of parenting and all children to have the best start in life. 

Our focus is to build a compassionate community of support for families, parents and children – because childhood can’t wait. Providing emotional no-judgmental and confidential support in the home and the community through our expert trained team of volunteers.
